Private Fishing Charters
For large groups of 8 or more, or those who just want quality time fishing with their family and friends exclusively, we suggest the Private Fishing Charter.

About the Fishing
We primarily troll for King Salmon because they feed in the inside waters year round. They are the biggest, rarest and most delicious of the five salmon species, making them a true trophy fish.
We have great action on most of our trips but fishing is fishing. Sometimes we have a fish on every 15 minutes. Other times we hunt for the first bite. Due to declining stocks King Salmon have been on catch and release in our area for six years. The good news is the Alaska Department of Fish and Game is projecting a strong 2023 return of our local Chilkat King stock.
For now we understand that the species is in trouble and needs us humans to ease up on the pressure. We do our part by using barbless hooks, rubber nets and practicing gentle fish handling techniques before releasing them.
The good news is that recent numbers are improving so let’s go out catch a bunch and send them on to replenish the stock.
We’re all about having a great time on the water, catching a lot of fish, staying alert for wildlife and taking it all in. For those who really want to ship fish home, we totally get it but we recommend fishing in another port.
Crabbing
Crabbing is so much fun! It’s a favorite pastime of any local with access to a boat, canoe or kayak. On most of our fishing trips we try and get you to experience the pleasure of baiting and setting your own traps. Then, on our way to the dock, after two to three hours of fishing we haul them up to check our harvest. If you are staying locally you can keep them for an exquisite meal.
Crabbing is included in our 4 hour fishing trips at the Captain’s discretion.
